Spicers Sangoma retreat was a beautiful place to get married. The team taking care of us were attentive and friendly and it felt like for a night the retreat was ours. The rooms and main building are styled in a way thats very conscious of the beautiful grounds outside, with a colour palette that is reminiscent of eucalypts and their crisp leaf litter. The rooms are luxuriously equipped, most notably with comfortable beds, crisp sheets and indulgent bathtubs, a must for a bath-lover like myself. When you stay at Sangoma youre surrounded by a transfixing sensation I call noisy silence, where youre inundated with sounds of rustling leaves, calling birds and the wind through the bush - but none of the human or industrial sounds that leave us so agitated in the city.Our wedding day was bliss, thanks to the work of Sangoma - from feeding us beautiful food, to ensuring all our guests were comfortable. Despite an unfortunate loss of water - our guests still rave about the quality of their stay and the beautiful time they had at Sangoma.Not only would I recommend Sangoma for the perfect peaceful bush-style wedding - but I would also highly recommend Sangoma for anybody itching to get away and find a moment to themselves.
Absolutely amazing place. The attention to detail is what impressed us the most. The food was the highlight of our stay. The Wagyu beef was one of the nicest plates of food Ive ever had. The five course menu for dinner is quite an experience. Add to this a serene setting, stylish accommodation and excellent customer service from manager John and the team. One of the best stays we have had out of many retreats around Australia. Cant wait to return.
The food is seriously amazing if you love snooty 5 star food. I am a fussy eater, but everything is made to perfection with matching wines. Even the black pudding and smoked squid ink. The accommodation and surrounds are stunning. And the special attention from the staff is a nice touch you don't get many other places.
A little hidden gem. Great customer service and friendly staff. Definitely recommend this place for a quiet weekend away with your special someone. Will definitely recommend the couple's massage!
